Educational Planners now finally agree that traditional formal education can never meet the enormous demand for education. The need for education is general both by the people themselves, who want to improve
Their knowledge and acquire new skill, and by private and public enterprise, which need and increasingly
higher level of qualified workers. The normal traditional school system cannot answer this large demand.
It is not efficient enough, it is too expensive and the available manpower is not used efficiently.
Therefore, another method of education and training has been sought : methods which are from the educational
point of view as good as – and at times even better – than the traditional ones. This method which has caused
a world – wide movement in education is called by general name : “DISTANCE LEARNING”

“We need well educated people more than ever, we do not seem to need a system, but a NON-SYSTEM”

who has signed Joint Statement with UN-ESCAP and UNESCO on Drive for Peace in June 12,2000 also said
“we need more Visionary Leaders , Change Leaders, and Learning Organizational Leaders. Above all we
need Peace Leaders, Peace Makers and Peace Keepers through Cultural Education.
WUP’s Inception :
WPU is an offshoot of MOU on Chiang Rai Mission between Chiang Rai Rajabhat University (CRU) and
World Educational and Cultural Exchange Programs/WE on June 4,2010 at CRU campus.
In addition, WPU is based on Act. 49 and Act.50 of Thailand Constititue , BC. 2550.

โลก และวิธีการศึกษาใช้ระบบการศึกษาทางไกล
